One step closer...

Yesterday I got a really exciting delivery, a couple of crates of these...

They are just so darn beautiful and tactile and I am so excited to try them.

Also I did my first day back at work today. I have so much holiday accrued from my leave that I have another month off, but at least it'll be paid. I've decided to try and get some extra money in to rebuild the savings and so I'm working some extra days. Good news is that today I had no abusive patients and an old lady even said thanks so all in all a good return to work!

  1. Nice acquisition. You're building up your skills and supplies.

I don't know what line of work you are in, but I have a friend who is a nurse. She told me if people are abusive you can suffocate them with a pillow and it looks like a natural death. I'm just saying........

    1. Harry I love your sense of humour!!! I'm a pharmacist, if you try and kill them with drugs they always point the finger at the pharmacist, gutted!

  2. Oh dear.....to get so enthused over a crate of canning jars means that you are a lost soul, just like the rest of us who like to have control over what they feed themselves and their family! Looking forward to seeing what you do with those jars, and also hope that you do not have to deal with too many difficult people when you are at work. Vx

  3. oh i totally relate to the excitement and i can't wait to see what you do with them! i bet you'll be pulling unripened tomatoes off of the vine soon and canning them! and then realizing that they were unripe and now you have 12 jars of unripened tomatoes canned! but hey - hats off, right - bahahahah!

it is very exciting times indeed!

one of my besties, and next door neighbour, is an elderly care worker and she takes such good care of her patients...but she loses them regularly. i don't know how she does it. but i am very glad that she does do it. it sounds like you are a caregiver or nurse or somesuch profession - i would like to thank you on behalf of all of your previous patients and all of your future patients for being the kind of person who can handle your job. and still be crazy about canning - teehee.

    sending love! your friend,
    kymber

  7. I just love canning jars! Empty or full, but it's a lot of fun filling them. Glad it was a good day at work.
